Best Viewing: All along the SF Waterfront — Crissy Field, the Marina Green, Municipal Pier at Aquatic Park, end of Pier 39, the Ferry Building, the Port Promenade.

Coast Guard Challenge

Race

Oakland · Embarcadero Cove Marina

Organizer: BAWRA / US Coast Guard Rowing Team
Course: Timed race of about 1.5 miles around Coast Guard Island in the Oakland Estuary.
Best Viewing: Coast Guard Island, the causeway, and the Embarcadero regional park.
Awards: See current year information. If on Coast Guard Island, clubs must provide a contact name and guest list; picture ID and proof of car insurance required.

Note: do not go to the Hyde Street Pier at the foot of Hyde St — that's the historic ships area.
